ФРЭНК БЛЭК - главный герой, эксперт группы Миллениум. Бывший сотрудник ФБР, специалист по серийным убийствам. 10 лет непрестанного общения с самыми страшными преступниками сделали Блэка человеком специфическим. Теперь он способен видеть мир глазами убийц, понимать их психологию. Когда-то он уехал из Сиэтла, но когда его семью начал терроризировать неизвестный маньяк, снова вернулся в город. Фрэнк обладает даром – проникать в психологию злодеев и видеть происходящее своими глазами. Группа Тысячелетие пригласила его, чтобы объяснить природу его дара. Оказалось, что существуют люди с разными способностями, и объединившись в группу, они стараются предотвратить хаос, грядущий с началом нового тысячелетия. Black, Frank: Frank was a retired FBI agent who specialized in criminal profiling -- a profession he excelled at due to his unique ability to "see inside the mind of a killer." After moving to Seattle with his wife Catherine and daughter Jordan, he offered his services to the local police department via the Millennium Group, an organization that believed pre-millennial fever was responsible for the increase in crime.

His submersion into the Group led to a painful separation from Catherine and the realization his employers were dangerous people who would later unleash a deadly plague that would kill both his wife and friend, Lara Means.

Following Catherine's death, Frank and Jordan relocated to Falls Church, Virginia, where he resumed work for the FBI and was teamed with the inexperienced Emma Hollis. She would aid his many investigations into the Group and their heinous crimes. However, their strong, trusting relationship was soon shattered when Emma accepted membership with the Group. At the same time, Frank received a mysterious folder of information that sparked his unexpected departure from Falls Church.

Black, Catherine: As a clinical social worker, Catherine had deep insight into the darker aspects of the human condition. Frank's increasing involvement with The Millennium Group led her to question the safety of her own family. She told Frank: "It's about things that happen to us that don't happen to other people." Following her abduction by the Polaroid Stalker, Catherine and Frank separated so she could distance herself and Jordan from her husband's dangerous work.

Catherine's tragic exposure to the Marburg Virus fueled Frank's anger toward The Millennium Group, which he believed engineered the deadly plague.

Black, Jordan: Jordan, the bright and intuitive daughter of Frank Black, harbored a "gift" similar to her father's, although much more ambiguous. She was Frank's only source of true happiness and he was terribly afraid of losing her.

Lieutenant Bob Bletcher: Bletcher was a veteran homicide detective with eighteen years of experience. He worked closely with his friend Frank Black out of the Seattle Police Department and was fascinated by both the profiler's amazing abilities and the group he worked for. Bletcher was later killed by an unknown assailant, suspected to have been Lucy Butler.

Watts, Peter: Peter Watts left his position as Assistant Director of the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force to join The Millennium Group, which promised him, like Frank, understanding in a chaotic world. He later became a senior member of the Group and Patron to Frank Black, assisting him on numerous Group assigned cases.

As the Marburg Virus spread across the Pacific Northwest, Frank challenged his colleague and friend to realize the controlling, manipulative nature of the Group. While trying to reach Lara Means, the Group abducted Peter and somehow restored his loyalty.

Peter then followed Frank to Quantico and worked toward damaging both Frank's credibility and his accusations against The Group. Ultimately, he accepted the truth of Frank's claims and to protect his family (wife: Barbara, daughters: Chelsea, Erin, and Taylor), tried to expose The Group by giving Frank a folder of sensitive information. His actions saved Frank and Jordan's lives... at the cost of his own.

Means, Lara: Lara was a highly professional forensic psychologist who frequently assisted Frank on Group assigned cases. She was also cursed by an angelic presence that warned her of imminent danger.

During the weeks leading up to her induction into the Millennium Group, Lara's angel abandoned her in fear of a higher power and she was left without its guidance. Alone and faced with the responsibility of being a Group member, Lara's sanity quickly diminished. Her final act was giving her Marburg Virus vaccine to Frank, who then gave it to Jordan. She was hospitalized as a result of her mental condition.

Special Agent Emma Hollis: The respected, independent, ambitious young Bureau Agent who formed a close relationship with Frank Black -- and then turned her back on him to join the Millennium Group, which had agreed to cure her father of Alzheimer's.

Special Agent Barry Baldwin: The arrogant Barry Baldwin was a member of the FBI Critical Incident Response Team and frequently assisted Frank and Emma on assigned cases. During the raid of Lucas Barr's apartment, Baldwin tripped an explosive device and suffered severe burns. He survived, but on the trip to the hospital, a man posing as a paramedic deliberately pressed a piece of shrapnel into his chest, killing him.
